Whale Watching from Hillarys today as over a dozen Humpback Whales communicated The Language of the Whales in spectacular fashion! Though we couldn't get very close to the whales (as probably what i pictured in my mind before going... too many Attenborough documentaries :-) ) - it was totally worth it. Would definitely recommend to our overseas visitors. I waved my camera about to see if I could capture a shot of the whales way in the distance, I thought we would run into more pods but we didn't so I felt seasick for little or no reason... but I know it is unpredictable. We left from Fremantle jetty, exactly at 9 and within minutes we had dolphins racing the boat.

This was a great day out and is a must do for locals and tourists. But guess that was a great blessing in disguise.

We were cruising around 30knots and I could barely tell except for the wind. We saw 30+ humpbacks doing their thing about half-way to Rottnest. A spectacular experience by a very professionally run company. Really fantastic trip, highly recommend this family run operation.

We had just under 2 hours to follow the whales around and watch them do their thing. But guess that was a great blessing in disguise. the crew were friendly and informative. They are super knowledgable and welcoming.
